Report: SLIPKNOT Concert Poses Few Problems
May 14, 2009According to KEYC-TV, last night's (Wednesday, May 13) SLIPKNOT concert at the Alltel Center in Mankato, Minnesota went better than local law enforcement and paramedics expected. Numbers released by Mankato Public Safety show five citations given for underage consumption. Two of those citations resulted in arrests. EMTs (emergency medical technicians) treated 20 people for injuries ranging from minor bumps and bruises to dehydration. Two patients were taken to the ISJ Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Twenty people were evicted from the concert for disorderly behavior and underage consumption.
Authorities say they've been working closely with the Alltel Center to keep these numbers down. Commander Jeremy Clifton says, "I think that we've done a good job in working with that staff and we know a little bit more of what to expect and can respond a little bit more appropriately."
Only one arrest was made prior to the concert: an extremely intoxicated underage person.
